Instead of spending your summer with things and activities that won’t give you any kind of benefit or advantages, you could look for some ways on how to spend your summer wisely and earn some money for yourself.

One of the best ways to make money during the summer as a student, is by selling stuff and making money off the things you sell. But as a student, you have limited resources so you may not have enough money to buy things from stores and then re-sell them. Yes, you heard it right, through a site called FreeCycle, you could get things absolutely free of charge and make money from it.

In their own words,  FreeCycle.Org says that they are “a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills”.

“Membership on FreeCycle is free, and everything posted must be FREE, legal and appropriate for all ages”. It’s run by a non-profit organization and has a goal of reducing the volume of waste and trash by recycling things that people no longer want and allowing people to give those items away through their site. Some things that people no longer want are still useful and instead of throwing them away, people post them on Freecycle so other people who will have use for these things could get them for free. You must visit this site to know why this is considered to be one of the best ways to make money during the summer.

Your ability to make money with this will all depend on your own ability to assess and evaluate which things you think would easily sell. Items such as furniture, electronics, clothing, toys and books are just a few of the types of things that you will be able to get on FreeCycle for free. If you see something that you believe would be easy to sell, you will be able to contact the current  owner of the item through the contact info given to you on FreeCycle. Then you can let the person know that you are interested in that particular item. Finding things to sell in your area should be no problem at all since you’ll be able to search for things on FreeCycle in your area where you live. They are active in over 100 countries and dozens of cities. So you’re sure to find one near where you live!

One of the best ways to make money during the Summer as a student is to find valuable and useful things that you think you can make some money off of on FreeCycle and then sell them on ebay and other auction sites. The Summer is a great time to start up this kind of business because you can have yard sales or sell your new items at flea markets in your area.

Aside from the opportunity to earn money, you could also help save the environment by reducing garbage and trash. You could also help other people by offering your old stuff that could still be useful to them. But that’s not all. You could even meet new friends located near your area. You could exchange messages, talk about any topic that interests you, ask questions and get some answers, and just share knowledge and experiences. With all of these, you would probably agree that this really is one of the best ways to make money during the summer, help the environment, and meet other people that could turn into new friends.

Just visit the site at www.freecycle.org and sign up with them to open an account for free. Then you will have to choose your group by your own location or area. You could easily get the stuff if it is near the location of your home.
