When looking for part time or even full time employment while in college most of us think of fast food or the mall as a resource but we rarely think of places like Walgreen’s.  Walgreen’s has over 7,000 stores in all 50 states so there is more than likely a store near you.  Not only are they almost everywhere but they are also open 24 hours a day.  This is great because as college students we don’t always have a set schedule and flexibility is key.  Not only is this a good company because of it’s flexibility but also because of it’s numerous locations. since there are so many Walgreen’s around, and they are still expanding the brand, if you transfer to a different school you may be able to transfer to a Walgreen’s close by so that you can continue working and not have to worry about searching for a different job right away.

Within a company this large there are several different oppurtunities for employment from in store cashiers to  a corporate position once you graduate.  You can grow and move up in the company as you grow and move up in school.  This is a pretty self contained company in that they make, distribute and sell a number or their own products.  there is always going to be something that you can find yourself doing.

Nowadays college students are some of the most tech savvy people around and companies like Walgreen’s realizes that so that is why you can fill out an application for Walgreens online. Those interested in military duty might be interested in combining service time with a college education, since the military branches are willing to pay for some schooling in return for military service.
